ABOUT Mulika Tanzania

Mulika Tanzania is a youth-serving organization that strives to put young people at the center of development and decision-making processes. Mulika was formed and registered in 2015 with the aim of making the youth part of the decision-making process. Mulika was registered as an NGO in 15th July 2015 and later formally began work in 2017.  Following the amended NGO act of 2002, the organization registered afresh on 18th July 2019. Mulika Tanzania is an active member of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY) and also a member of the African Youth Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN ESA) through AfriYAN Tanzania Chapter.

Hussein Melele

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Hussein Melele is a young expert with vast knowledge and experience of more than five years working on youth development agendas and serving the marginalized community towards advancing Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). He is also a Vice President of Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development of Eastern and Southern Africa (AfriYAN ESA), serving more than 20 countries of Eastern and Southern Africa on promoting SRHR to adolescents and young people. Mzee Mandawa

Finance & Administration Lead

Mzee Mandawa a highly self-motivated, creative communication marketing professional, and keen to details. He has been on numerous occasions entrusted with managing finances and logistics for various reputable non-profit organizations. He has been working in that field of finance for over more than five years. He has also worked on projects as an operations coordinator, administrative, logistics. Catherine Madebe

Programs Lead

Catherine  Madebe is a young outstanding female young leader with the aspiration of seeing a sustainable future in the field of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and beyond. With four years of practical experience of working with young people on SRHR and decision-making, she believes transformation is possible. With her outstanding performance, she was awarded by the Southern African AIDS Trust (SAT) as the Best Celebrity on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights in Eastern and Southern Africa. Amanzi Mpingo

Operations & Logistics Lead

Amanzi Mpingo has over three years of experience in managing corporate operations and logistics. He further received an award from the Netherlands Development Organization for being best on handling and managing customer's procurement. He also received the  Certificate of recognition and appreciation of being Member of Parliament (MP) at St. Augustine University of Tanzania. Nyangubu Yessy

Advocacy & Communication Lead

Nyangubu Yessy is a gender activist with vast experience in advocacy and corporate communication works. She has been initiating and managing various social media campaigns to advocate and promote youth development agendas in Tanzania. She wishes to see a just and free society where there is fair and effective youth, young women, and marginalized community participation. She loves fashion and she has been doing it to raise awareness in several projects. Fashion can change lives through innovative communication for impacts, and that’s what she believes. Fred Werema

Accountant Lead

Fred Werema has a vast knowledge of finance and accounts over a period of time. He has been managing the accounts committee for over three years with good success. He is driven with transparency, trust, and professionalism as a core value of his works. He believes proper accounting management of the corporate plays a great role in reaching for the social impacts of the institution. He is dedicated,firm with good financial literacy.
