Equips young people with leadership, governance and advocacy skills to meaningfully participate in decision-making — training nearly 200 leaders across Dar es Salaam and Dodoma.
The Youth Leadership Training Programme equips young people with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to meaningfully participate in leadership, governance, advocacy and decision-making processes affecting their lives and communities. The programme has so far trained nearly 200 young people across Dar es Salaam region and Dodoma region, bringing together diverse youth, including young leaders, activists, young women, persons with disabilities, petty traders and representatives of grassroots organizations. Through practical training in leadership, communication, rights-based advocacy, negotiation, action planning and strategy development, the programme strengthens young people’s ability to articulate their priorities, influence policies and programmes, and take active leadership roles within their communities. It also promotes inclusive youth participation, networking and partnerships, enabling young leaders to collaborate, develop youth-led actions and amplify youth voices in community and national development processes.
